Safety is paramount and is our continued daily focus. We want all our employees to go home happy and safe to their whanau every day.
Farming
Since mid-2022, Tirofruit has controlled two significant farming operations in North Otago, South Island: Sunny Downs, a 450-hectare dairy farm, manages 1600 cows for Fonterra, while Riverside Farm, spanning 950 hectares, supports dairy and beef farming with 4,200 livestock. The farms are located near Kurow and in the Hakataramea Valley, approximately one inland from the nearest major town – Oamaru, where the first shipload of frozen meat was exported from New Zealand to Europe.
