Our roots run deep, stemming from the vision and hard work of our founders, Ray and Lis Sharp. In 1995, they took the first steps in establishing a family-owned and operated kiwifruit enterprise. From humble beginnings to a major player in the kiwifruit industry, Tirohanga Fruit Co has remained true to its values while embracing innovation and growth.

Our Family

Tirofruit was established in 1995 by Ray and Lis Sharp. It is a family-owned and operated business located in Opotiki and Te Kaha on the East Coast of the North Island.

Tirofruit has established over 100 hectares of kiwifruit and has recently diversified into the Dairy and Beef Industry.

The company employs approximately 80 staff during the peak season, including seasonal, RSE and permanent employees.
